The sun was setting on yet another day at Hallow Bastion. X was heading back to her hotel, she had spent the day sitting in one spot sketching what she
called the most beautiful spot in town. It was a whole gorge filled with thousands of heartless and more every second. She had been away from home for at
least two months now wandering from one world to another exploring.
The cellphone in her pocket started to vibrate. She smiled and flipped it open. "Hey daddy." He called her almost nightly, not that she minded. She stopped
at a bench and talked with him for a bit. "X... have you been back to your hotel yet today?" He sounded a bit on edge. "No, why?"
"Well, I sort of left a suprise for you there." She sighed. "Daddy you didnt need to do that." She could tell he was trying not to laugh. She honestly hated
it when they got her gifts. If she ever wanted something she bought it herself with the munny they gave her weekly, and if she didnt have enough she simply
saved.
"Just go see what it is." Sighing agrivatedly she got up and walked to it. It was a short walk from where she was only a few minutes away.
At the door she paused. There was a scratching sound coming from inside. She put her guard up, someone or something was in there. With a click the door
swung open. Nothing. She looked around cautiously. Years of tracking heartless helped her catch anything out of the ordinary.
There. A lump under the beds covers. So it was a heartless. Yip! "What the-" She lifted the covers up. Vexen had to pull the phone away from his ear "OH
KINGDOM HEARTS HE'S ADORABLE!" She cuddled the black and white husky puppy who happily licked her face all over. Vexen chuckled. "I thought you would like
him."
"Like him daddy I LOVE him, thank you so much!" She sat on the bed with the pup who pawed at her wanting to play. "Now X there are a few things you should kno-"
"Daddy I think I know how to take care of a dog..." She paused for a moment then spoke quieter "Zippy was just like one." After years, Zippy's death was
still hard on the girl. The fact that he sacrificed himself for his master was even worse as she blamed herself for the dusk's demise.
"No, X, thats not it. That dog is... special. You know I worry about you out there." Even knowing she could fling someone like Lexaeus over her didnt help
him. "I modified him." She looked the puppy over. "What do you mean? He looks like any normal puppy."
Vexen sighed. This was going to be a hard one. "He has... powers." X sat there paciently listning to what her new companion could do once he got older. "Now
I have already taught him basic commands that you dont want to use unless you have to and for the love of science do NOT order him to speak unless you have
to and when you do stand behind him please."
"Yes daddy." During the conversation the black and white pup had fallen asleep on her lap. "So do you have a name for him?" Vexen decided to change the
topic. "Well I have one. I just sorta came up with it on the top of my head." She laughed. "Neuro." She gently pet his head.

Never am I to fall for such a lie as 'Nothing' for nothing always means something.
